Head scarfs: A chic look to beat the summer heat
We’ve all seen them. The women about town lounging by the beach or walking about town with a beautiful Hermes scarf tied just so. If you ever wanted to steal the look, here are two step-by-step tips for hippy-chic or classic icon versions.
Look 1: Use a square scarf in a bright color or pattern. Skip white and beige to avoid the bandage look. Work this style with your hair down, but do not tuck it behind your ears.
- Fold the scarf in half so it forms a triangle.
- Place the long side on your forehead, about an inch below your hairline, and tie it straight back.
- Tuck the back and sides of the scarf under so it completely covers the top of your head.
Look 2: This version works best with a bun or ponytail.
- Fold one side of the scarf two-thirds of the way over and bring the other edge to the middle, so the final rectangle is six inches wide.
- Hold the scarf so the fold is facing down and place it an inch in front of your hairline.
- Tie it off at the base of your neck. The scarf should cover your ears completely.
Awww….the perfect way to banish a bad hair day.
